Requirement for Superset Consulting A major financial services firm aimed to replace its industry-leading BI solution in a key product with an Open Source alternative (Superset) to achieve significant savings on license costs.
Deliverables NobleProg held multiple project meetings with the client to gain a thorough understanding of the requirements, scope, potential risks, and the technical environment. Based on these discussions, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and track project progress. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture with the reporting needs for each specific report type. Recommendations were provided to modify data stores to leverage Superset effectively and ensure optimal performance, while guiding the team through the implementation of these changes. After optimizing the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began constructing and deploying various reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To meet specific data presentation requests, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome The consultants have developed new dashboards while ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer’s organization to maintain these dashboards and reports independently.
The project is currently ongoing and has been well received by both the client’s business team and their end clients. To highlight the project's success, its scope has been expanded to include additional products and end clients.
