Microsoft Flow/Power Automate Training Course

This live, instructor-led training in Thailand (delivered online or onsite) is designed for business staff, managers, developers, and data analysts aiming to adapt, implement, integrate, and manage Microsoft Power Platform components and features within their organizations.

By the conclusion of this training, participants will be able to:

• Build simple applications using Power Apps to create custom solutions for daily business needs.
• Automate workflow processes with Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow) to minimize manual and repetitive tasks.
• Create data reports and dashboards using Power BI to generate valuable business insights.
• Develop chatbots with Power Virtual Agents to automate and address common customer inquiries and issues.

This course provides a foundational understanding of Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate, and Power Apps, while also offering a high-level introduction to Power BI. The curriculum is designed around a real-world workflow that was previously performed manually. We will develop a Power App using Microsoft Power Apps to track tasks for house construction projects, storing data on SharePoint for simplicity. Following this, we will leverage Power Virtual Agents to demonstrate how to enable bots within Microsoft Teams, directing users to specific documents such as loan paperwork, budgets, and sales contracts that may be dispersed across various SharePoint sites. These bots are particularly useful for HR and IT teams in managing repetitive inquiries. The course also covers setting up basic flows in Power Automate to save attachments from specific senders (such as bank-organized inspection reports) and to store Microsoft Forms data on SharePoint. Additionally, you will learn to build fully automated processes using the approvals app within Microsoft Teams. Upon completing the app, bot, and flow, the final step involves creating a simple Power BI report. You will then use Power Automate to send a bi-weekly snapshot of the latest completed tasks to a designated recipient (the bank in our example), including the completion dates and associated budget amounts collected in the app. This course remains at a high level. While I recommend leveraging ChatGPT for more technical elements, such as coding or formulas in Power Apps, the course explicitly demonstrates how to effectively utilize ChatGPT to assist with Power Apps formulas.
