Day 1: Foundations of AUTOSAR OS
- Introduction to the AUTOSAR OS framework and its basis in OSEK/VDX
- Exploring different task types and priority levels
- Analyzing task scheduling logic and preemption strategies
- Managing events, shared resources, and alarm mechanisms
- Practical session: configuring tasks and designing scheduling scenarios
Day 2: Advanced OS Concepts
- Handling hooks, interrupts, and ISR management
- Time management techniques and counter implementation
- Considerations for multi-core processing in the OS
- Practical session: developing a small-scale application using AUTOSAR OS
Day 3: The AUTOSAR COM Stack
- Architectural overview of the COM Stack
- Interactions between the PDU Router (PDUR), Interface Layer (IF), and Transceiver Driver
- Distinguishing between signal-based and PDU-based communication
- Review of communication protocols including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet
- Practical session: setting up and simulating signal and PDU communication
Day 4 (Optional/Advanced Scenarios):
- Integrating OS and COM functions within a demonstration ECU project
- Techniques for troubleshooting and debugging communication errors
- Capstone lab: a complete integration of OS tasks and the COM Stack
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of embedded systems and real-time processing constraints
- Practical experience in microcontroller programming, particularly in C
